what is epi-g. functional nutrition counseling?

"epi-g." is a nod to epigenetics—the science of how our daily choices and environment influence how our genes are expressed.

What we eat, how we move, how we sleep, how we respond to stress, and the environments we live in all send signals to the body. Over time, these signals shape how we feel, function, and heal.

Functional nutrition looks beyond symptoms to understand the broader context—how patterns in your daily life may be contributing to what you're experiencing.

As a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, I work with you to explore your current rhythms—how you eat, sleep, move, and manage stress—and, when appropriate, review basic lab work.

My approach is also informed by a background in systems thinking—including a PhD in strategy and entrepreneurship—which shapes how I look for patterns, connections, and root causes.

Together, we co-create a plan that supports your body in finding balance—whether you're working through specific symptoms or simply wanting to feel more steady, energized, and clear.

You can expect:

  • small, doable shifts that build over time
  • minimal reliance on supplements
  • a focus on consistency over intensity
  • regular check-ins to support integration

This is education and coaching—not medical treatment—so you leave with a deeper understanding of your body and rhythms that actually work in real life.
